About Appalachian Lighting
Our Market
As the demand for "green" lighting technology continues to grow, ALSI is poised
to successfully compete in what is estimated to become a $250 billion worldwide
market by 2015. Our initial target market includes municipal, commercial and
industrial customers – many of whom are attracted the maintenance-free quality
of our product and the on average three- to seven-year return on investment
(ROI) that our LED lighting fixtures yield.
As energy prices continue to rise, we expect that ROI will be realized in even shorter periods of time. In addition, LED fixtures do not contain mercury, as is the case with compact fluorescent bulbs. Therefore, LED fixtures do not have to be treated as a hazardous waste.
