In what is believed to be the largest lighting installation of its kind in the United States, Appalachian Lighting Systems, Inc. (ALSI) was selected by the Allegheny County Airport Authority to manufacture and deliver 1,347 new light emitting diode (LED) lighting fixtures at the Pittsburgh International Airport.

U.S. Virgin Islands Employ ALSI LED Lighting Technology
The Government Employees’ Retirement System of the U.S. Virgin Islands, on St. Croix, recently approved an upgrade to Solid-State light emitting diode (LED) Lighting for their new facility, currently under construction.
This marks the island’s first government building to fully deploy this type of lighting technology throughout the entire facility. Electricity Wise Strategies (EWS) is the company that engineered and supplied the luminaire retrofit.
Michael Bruno, owner of EWS said, “Ninety-five percent of the components in the luminaires being installed are USA-made products. Because of the high quality of the products used in this project, lighting maintenance will be practically eliminated over the next ten years or longer.”
We employed only the finest Solid-State LED products available from our exclusive resources,” Bruno continued. “This project will set a pattern for other U.S. Virgin Islands projects to follow.”

This will make an immediate impression during the day as people notice the quality of the fixtures, and by night, as they notice the high quality light, despite the low wattage.”
