Innovative Product Line

At ALSI, we’ve developed and evolved a series of innovations to the design and operation of our products. Thermal dissipation, shaped reflectors and various electronic control features are each undergoing marketplace protection through the patent pending process.

Our LED lighting fixtures are specially designed for use by commercial businesses and municipalities and feature a patented design for maintenance-free life of over 50,000 hours. Benefits:
  • Replace incandescent, fluorescent and HID (High Intensity Discharge) light bulbs
  • Reduce energy consumption by 50-90%, depending on fixture
  • Longevity (10-20+ years)
  • Improved performance in cold applications
  • Instant on/off (ideal for occupancy sensors)
  • Programmable chip technology – for greater savings during off-peak hours
  • Easy component replacement IF necessary
  • Reduced heat load reduces HVAC costs
  • No hazardous/environmental concerns
As continuing evidence of our commitment to the highest engineering and quality standards, Appalachian Lighting Systems has been formally accepted into US Department of Energy’s “Solid-State Lighting Quality Advocates” program. The SSL Quality Advocates program showcases LED luminaire manufacturers who commit to testing products and reporting performance results according to industry standards. DOE’s Lighting Facts program is factually derived and audited from IESNA LM-79 test reports, from a DOE certified test lab.

In addition to becoming a Solid-State Lighting Quality Advocate, many of Appalachian Lighting’s ALLED™ brand luminaires have been formally accepted as meeting DOE’s requirements to receive and display its “Lighting Facts” performance label. For more information on US Department of Energy’s “Solid-State Lighting Quality Advocates” program, or to view the growing list of Appalachian Light products that have been accepted into this program, go to this chart.
