In what is believed to be the largest lighting installation of its kind in the United States, Appalachian Lighting Systems, Inc. (ALSI) was selected by the Allegheny County Airport Authority to manufacture and deliver 1,347 new light emitting diode (LED) lighting fixtures at the Pittsburgh International Airport.

In addition to becoming a Solid-State Lighting Quality Advocate, many of Appalachian Lighting’s ALLED™ brand luminaires have been formally accepted as meeting DOE’s requirements to receive and display its “Lighting Facts” performance label.
