The ALSI Advantage
The Ellwood City Test
As a part of their energy management program, Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, installed 135 prototype Appalachian Lighting’s ALLED™ brand fixtures. More than two years later, the lights continue to outperform their original design specification – without requiring maintenance or replacement – and achieved carefully-documented savings of 85% after installation.
The success of these prototypes has prompted Ellwood City to seek approval for the replacement of all 796 of their existing streetlamps with our LED fixtures. This would make Ellwood City one of the first cities in America to light its community entirely with LED fixtures.
